Time Out
Time Out Respite offers a peaceful, nurturing, and professional psychiatric mental health respite service in a homely four-bed residential home setting. Our facility in Mt Albert is spacious house with comfortable rooms, home cooked meals, set in a pleasant residential street.
Time Out provides a therapeutic environment and sound clinical care for women experiencing a wide range of mental health problems and life challenges.
Time Out operates on the premise that people will have the best chance of recovery in a small service that offers a friendly, caring and restful environment where their individual needs are given priority.
The Directors of Time Out
Linda Kelly RN
Linda is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 25 years experience in a variety of psychiatric and mental health settings. She has additional training in psychotherapy, trauma and sexual abuse counseling, group therapy, psychodrama, and assessment and treatment of psychiatric problems. Linda established Time Out 15 years ago to provide an alternative mental health service for women.
Linda provides clinical management to the service, and is available to discuss any problems and provide support whenever needed.
Helen Moffat BA Hons QTS
Helen is originally from the UK and qualified as a secondary school teacher there. She taught for 8 years in schools where the pupils had challenging behavior, family and social problems.
Wanting a change of career and with a special interest in helping people with mental health issues, she found Time Out as the ideal setting because of its philosophy and unique perspective. 6 years ago Helen became partner and director of the service.
Helen manages the administration of the service and helps women in all ways but particularly with problem solving and life skills coaching.
